A helping hand is always valued

          Our philanthropic efforts are given in the name of a personal tribute: The Nala Initiative. The Nala Initiative is a labor of love founded in the memory of Aline’s late twin brother Alan. Nala (Alan spelled backwards) embodies Alan who was a lover of life and service. He strived to make a difference in the lives of those who were less fortunate or in need of guidance.

         The Nala Initiative aspires to continue Alan’s legacy by bringing awareness and charitable giving to the forefront of causes near and dear to our hearts.

          Many individuals may find themselves displaced at a point in their lifetime. In a country full of resources and opportunity, it is hard to understand why there are individuals lacking support and necessities. At Imagine a Mind, we seek to make a difference by providing items of comfort such as toiletries, blankets, and clothing. With your help, this can be achieved through donations and impactful community actions.

          As a former school counselor, Aline has witnessed many students be without essential supplies needed to feel confident and prepared on their first day of school. The lack of simple items such as a back pack, notebook, and lunch funds have even accounted for student absences. By supplying these needs, children can feel proud and capable at school while avoiding the stigma that may be associated with these circumstances.
